The International Monetary Fund (IMF) report published 14 September 2009 placed Jersey at the top of the table of international finance centres. No other jurisdiction received a higher score than Jersey in any of the IMF assessments. The United Kingdom came 10th and the Isle of Man has been ranked 11th place in the comparison table.

In April 2009 the Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development added both Jersey and the Isle of Man to the 'white list' or list of jurisdictions 'that have substantially implemented the internationally agreed tax standard', along with the UK and USA.

The Global Financial Centres Index published in September 2009 placed Jersey 14th in its list of major financial centres, making it the highest ranking offshore jurisdiction. Guernsey was ranked 15th and the Isle of Man was also recognised and ranked 25th. The overall rankings are led once again by London and New York.
